2014 Profile of Nebraska
The Profile of Nebraska, sponsored by the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, is undertaken annually to continue improving, enhancing, expanding, and making more readily available information about homeownership and rental housing needs in the State. The objective is to continually provide current, high-quality, relevant information about factors that influence the development, production, use, rehabilitation, and need for housing and housing services in Nebraska’s local communities.
Volume I, the Profile of Nebraska, contains information describing the State in its entirety, as well as nine sub-regions. These regions are consistent with other housing, community, and economic development activities conducted by the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, with the exception that Nebraska’s three most populous counties, Douglas, Lancaster, and Sarpy, are uniquely separated.
Volume II represents a county-by-county analysis, identifying pertinent statistics for all of Nebraska’s 93 counties. It is a large report, and as such is released as a two-volume report.
Volume III examines 31 cities in the state. It represents a summary analysis of demographic, economic, and housing statistics, as well as population, rental vacancy data and housing production and cost information.
NIFA is providing a NEW interactive, analytical and comparative tool to the Profile of Nebraska to enhance its usefulness. The 2014 Nebraska Dashboard allows you to compare Regions, Counties, Cities and the state as a whole among the various demographic, economic and housing related statistics contained in the Profile.
