2006 Affordable Housing Deal Makers’ Marketplace Conference
Register now for the 2006 Affordable Housing Deal Makers’ Marketplace, Nebraska’s premier affordable housing conference. This year’s conference will be held on January 24-25, 2006 and is dedicated to discussing, developing and designing the best affordable housing deals.
Keynote Speakers include Stephen Goldsmith and Deane Evans. Goldsmith is the Director of the Enterprise Foundation’s Fredrick P. Rose Architectural Fellowship Program; founder of Artspace, a non-profit developer of affordable live/work projects; and former Planning Director for Salt Lake City. Evans is the Executive Director of the Center for Architectural and Building Science Research at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is also the founder and manager of the Affordable Housing Design Advisor website www.designadvisor.org, and served as founding Director of the Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) at HUD. Rob Gaudin, President and Director of Research and Planning at Western Economic Services will also be back to deliver the results of the 2006 Nebraska Housing Study sponsored by NIFA.
Breakout sessions will cover a wide variety of single family and multifamily topics for beginners to seasoned housing veterans, including green building, emerging markets and rural housing. See the Agenda for more details.
Attendees are once again encouraged to submit an affordable housing “Deal” proposal to receive a discounted registration. Deals will be posted online and distributed in the conference Deal Book. New this year will be the Deal Makers’ Café, a place where deal makers sign up to present their projects or ideas to other interested deal makers. Housing experts will also be available throughout the conference in the new Single and Multifamily Cafés. These experts will help attendees think through and design their best deals.
