NIFA hosts training for approved lenders

NIFA will be holding three training sessions in September for participating lenders. The sessions will provide detailed information relating to the different types of NIFA programs, qualifying borrowers,
procedures and guidelines for processing, underwriting, closing and delivery of mortgage loans.

The training is mandatory, therefore, all lenders will be required to send at least one representative to a session. It would be beneficial for each institution to send staff that works directly with reserving funds, qualifying, processing and shipping of the loan file. NIFA reserves the right to suspend your continued participation in our program if your institution is not represented.

The session dates and locations are as follows:

Tuesday September 14, 2004
Holiday Inn (downtown)
141 North Ninth Street - Lincoln
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST)

Wednesday September 22, 2004
Northeast Community College
801 East Benjamin Avenue - Norfolk
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST)

Monday September 27, 2004
Sandhills Convention Center (I-80 exit)
2102 South Jeffers Street North Platte
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST)

NIFA has completed a new and improved lender program manual and forms. Changes made to the manual and forms will be discussed during the sessions; as well as the use of the Lender on Line (LOL) Reservation System, HBA Program, Super Target Mortgage Program, loan file review process and new conventional loan products. A representative from Commercial Federal Bank will be available to answer questions.

All participants who plan to attend will be required to register. NIFA will be providing a morning snack and lunch at all three sessions and there is no registration fee.

An agenda will be posted on NIFA's website and LOL system at least two weeks prior to the first session date. We look forward to your participation and comments concerning the use of our bond programs.

You can register here on-line. A confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt. The registration deadline is Wednesday, September 8, 2004.
